THE LOVELY THING CALLED LIFE
A few weeks back my sister and I (plus fluff.. aka Mia my doggy) drove two hours south to San Diego. We went to our usual beach spot to soak up some rays and enjoy the scenic view of the sea.
There is something so special to walk barefoot in the sand, as the waves crash into the shoreline.
The beach is probably one of my favorite places to visit, when I need a getaway. It helps refocus myself. I too often seem to forget and purpose. And it is at these moments at the beach, that I find myself grounded.
Lately life has been not what I thought it would be. I'm slowly learning to let go of the things I can't change and focus on the things I can. It's a challenging time in my life, because I have so many ideas and hopes for the future that I am almost too scared to commit to any of them. I know the choices I make now will forever change the course of my life, so more than ever I need to make sure the decisions I make are what is best for me and also what God wants as well.
I have much to be thankful for, and at times find myself to lose track of all that I have.
But I do want to make a more conscious effort to appreciate the many blessings God has given me.
So on that note, I will try to write more often and keep you updated.
CIAO!
